- EMODnet Chemistry at the workshop Marine Data to support Aquaculture in the Mediterranean and Black Sea

On 24-25 March 2021, EMODnet, CMEMS, EATiP and DG MARE co-organised the workshop on marine data targeted to Aquaculture in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
EMODnet Chemistry partecipated in the meeting, providing its expertise on data management for eutrophication, as well as the EMODnet thematic experts from bathymetry, biology, physics and human activities, together with the EMODnet Secretariat.
The objectives for the workshop, entitled Marine Data to support Aquaculture in the Mediterranean and Black Sea, included:
- raising awareness about existing open access marine data and data products available through EMODnet and CMEMS;
- and exploring opportunities and applications for open source data focused on aquaculture needs.
The workshop is the second one of its kind, as a previous event dedicated to the North-Atlantic region was held in October 2020.
